Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Department
Musculoskeletal physiotherapy focuses on the muscles and joints, posture and movement and it helps to restore movement and function.
We have well ventilated and well equipped musculoskeletal department which provides learning platform to students to develop their skills and to get more knowledge about various exercises and manipulation technique etc. Hands on practical demonstrations like taping, mobilization, exercises, soft tissue mobilization etc. Conduct by faculty in labs. Different charts and posters are there to provide more information to students. Various equipment’s like hand held dynamometer, Swiss balls, there bands, traction table, walking aids, etc. Available to treat patients in musculoskeletal physiotherapy OPD.
Electrotherapy and Electrodignosis
Electrotherapy lab is well equipped with all necessary modalities like TENS, IFT, Ultrasound, IRR, UVR, LASER, muscle stimulator, PWB etc.
That all modalities are used to treat patients to control pain and other symptoms in electrotherapy OPD. Charts and posters are there to provide more information to students. All practical helps to understand application of modality and its physiological, therapeutic effect. Practical exams and demonstration conducted in Lab.
Kinesiotherapy Department
Specious and well ventilated lab is available to 1st and 2nd bpth students for practical purpose.
Equipments like suspension table, traction table, walking aids, therapeutic gymnasium equipments etc. Are used by students to improve their skills. This department help to students to develop their skills and improve their knowledge of various PT assessment and management.
Cardio-vascular and respiratory physiotherapy
Cardiovascular and respiratory physiotherapy aims to help clear lung secretions, prevent or improve areas of lung collapse and reduce the effort of breathing.
Cardiopulmonary physiotherapist treat acute problems like asthma, acute chest infections and trauma, chronic cardiac and respiratory conditions like COPD, cystic fibrosis and post myocardial infarction and we have separate cardio-respiratory physiotherapy OPD to treat patients. We have specious and ventilated cardio-respiratory lab with adequate equipments like treadmills, ergometer, PD table, spirometer, PFT etc. Practical sessions for students of 3rd and 4th year conducted in lab to teach different techniques of rehabilitation.
Neurophysiotherapy Department
Neurophysiotherapy is a specialist area of physiotherapy focused on the treatment of individuals with neurological conditions.
We have neuro OPD for treatment of adult and pediatric condition with separate setup. We have specious lab with all necessary equipment’s like standing frames, models of brain and spine structures, balance board, muscle stimulator, Thera balls, toys, mattress, suspension bed etc. For practical demonstrations and all equipment’s available to treat the patients.
Community Physiotherapy Department
DUPCOP provide PT services to the community which includes assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
Industrial visits, research activities, physiotherapy camps etc conducted by community department. Interns and PG students are posted to different community centers for fieldwork. Community physiotherapy includes women's health, ergonomics, job analysis, workstation modifications, geriatric physiotherapy, disability assessment and management etc.
