Honourable Dr. Ulhas Patil is the ex-Member of Parliament from Jalgaon district and President of Godavari Foundation. He started a health education unit in the form of Godavari College of Nursing way back in 2003. Then he started Dr. Ulhas Patil College of Physiotherapy (DUPCOP) in the year 2005, and then Dr. Ulhas Patil Medical College and Hospital in the year 2008. Later on, Homeopathy College and Ayurveda College also started.

He is the pioneer of medical education hub not only in Jalgaon district but also in the whole Khandesh region. His main motto behind this hub is that students from the Khandesh region shall not migrate to metro cities to get quality health science education, and also patients from this region shall get quality health services at affordable prices for which they had to go to metro cities earlier. At DUPCOP, we always strive to fulfill these dreams of our beloved President.
